INTERACT partner LMS participated in Industrial Technologies 2016 event in Amsterdam, the largest networking conference in the field of new production technologies, materials, nanotechnology, biotechnology and digitalisation in Europe. A lot of people both from industry and academia had the chance to discuss INTERACT results with LMS people.
INTERACT partner IMI (Institute of Media Informatics/Ulm University) released the FusionKit a low-cost tracking system based on multiple Kinect v2 time-of-flight cameras, which enables markerless body tracking as well as marker-based object tracking for a broad range of HCI and tracking scenarios.
INTERACT RTD partners EMPHASIS, HADATAP, imi and LMS together with Electrolux personnel had a 3-days workshop in early September 2015 in Electrolux premises to test the performance of INTERACT sensing system and recognition system. The first trial of Interact technology in the field provided a thorough understanding of the field constraints as well as the user requirements. Also revealed the technical issues that should be addressed during the following months in order to have successful final tests.
On Monday and Tuesday, 2-3 December 2013, representatives from all project partners visited Electrolux Professional production site in Pordenone, Italy. After a guided tour of the production facility, a workshop took place with the participation of various stakeholders from the Engineering and Manufacturing departments in Electrolux Professional. The objective of the workshop was to define in detail the requirements of the Electrolux pilot case.
The two-day kick-off meeting of the INTERACT project took place in Daimler Ulm (1 -2/10/2013).
Representatives of involved industry, technology providers and research partners met to discuss in detail the plans and steps for the next project months.
Moreover, visits and workshops to the end-user production sites have been initiated.
